Photo: ArtToday.com Floating on the waters of Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona Memorial pays tribute to 1,177 crewmen who were killed when their ship, the USS Arizona, was sunk by Japanese bombers on December 7, 1941. The memorial structure straddles the hull of the sunken ship.
