Yale Center for British Art, Louis Kahn, architect The world-renowned architect Louis I. Kahn was born on February 20, 1901. Kahn designed some of the most important buildings of the twentieth century, yet he died penniless. Kahn's son Nathaniel explored his father's life in the film, My Architect.
